BlackBerry have a distinct tone of voice when they speak the Queen's English, very different from the language employed to converse with our splendid cousins over the pond. Dry, sophisticated humour, confidence, intelligence... all fine, upstanding virtues in any British man, so why not a multinational company like RIM?
Thus when RIM wanted to launch the rather exciting new BlackBerry Bold into England's urbane and sophisticated market, they had to rewrite the PoS collateral from scratch. "Power the passions you pursue" wasn't going to cut it in cynical old England.
